Abidjan (Ivory Coast) – Local Footballers Elephants, bronze medalists at the fourth edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) were warmly welcomed on Tuesday afternoon in Abidjan, the Ivorian economic capital. This welcome warm was reserved for them at the VIP lounge of the international airport Felix Houphouet-Boigny in the presence of several authorities of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) and the Department of sports and recreation. The players arrived in Abidjan from Kigali (Rwanda) via Johannesburg (South Africa). The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) won Sunday afternoon, the fourth edition of Football CHAN beating Mali (3 -0) in the final of the competition played in Kigali. Ivory Coast was third in this competition CHAN 2016 with the bronze medal by beating Guinea in the classification match (2-1). Parties Abidjan on 5 January for this competition, the 23 selected Elephants gather their different club for the seventh day of the Ligue 1 National championship, scheduled for this weekend. the CHAN is an international football competition in Africa, organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) every two years alternating with the CAN. This championship is reserved exclusively for players playing in the continent.
